Immediately, I thought she was an amazing woman. I could listen to her all day and what she was passionate about. She is an advocate for women who’ve been abused mentally and physically. She takes them in and is always there for them. Her advice about self-worth, not to be judgmental in life really stuck in me.

Inmediatamente, me pareció una mujer increíble. Podría escucharla hablar todo el día sobre lo que le apasiona. Es defensora de mujeres que han sido abusadas mental y físicamente. Ella las acoge y siempre está ahí para apoyarlas. Su consejo sobre la autoestima, no juzgar en la vida, realmente se me quedó grabado.
Anayi is an artist with a passion for music and the arts who is in her second-year studying Fine Arts in college. She loves learning new things and spends her free time reading. A 20-year-old girl from Bed-Stuy who surrounds herself with a diverse community of people, she is aware of many social/political injustices towards people of color and has begun to take steps towards getting more involved in the activist community.

Anayi es una artista apasionada por la música y las artes. Una chica de 20 años de Bed-Stuy que se rodea de una comunidad diversa, es consciente de muchas injusticias contra las personas de color y ha comenzado a involucrarse más en la comunidad activista.
Carlon founded a hyper local non-profit called Brighter Hope 4 U where she offers guidance and resources for women coming out of abusive relationships. She is a diligent member of Stuyvesant Heights SDA Church and has been involved in all sorts of activities and initiatives aimed to empower and encourage young people to step into their greatness and display their talents. She is very active in food distribution in Bed Stuy, as well as Guyana, South America where her family is from. She works as a Community Liaison for NYC Construction and serves as a NYC Chaplain.

Carlon fundó Brighter Hope 4 U, que ofrece recursos para las mujeres que salen de relaciones abusivas. Es parte de la iglesia Stuyvesant Heights SDA y muy activa en la distribución de alimentos en Bed Stuy, así como en Guyana, América del Sur, de donde origina su familia.
